Privacy Policy

Craftwire is marketing software for general contractors — websites, local search, reviews, and lead capture. This policy covers getcraftwire.com and the Craftwire app at app.getcraftwire.com.

Short version: we collect what the service needs to run, we share it only with the providers that run it, and you can take it with you. Questions at any time: hello@getcraftwire.com.

• Account information — your name, email address, and business details, handled by our sign-in provider.
• Business profile content — the text, photos, and service information you give us to build and run your site.
• Usage events — which features ran, when, and whether they succeeded, so we can fix what breaks.
• Lead inquiries — the messages visitors send through your website forms.
• Billing information — processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.

To provide the service — build and host your site, run your review requests, deliver your leads — to improve it, and to communicate with you about your account.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your leads to market to your customers.

These are processors working under contract, on our instructions, to run the service. They do not use your data for their own purposes.

When you connect Google, you grant Craftwire access to your Google Business Profile (business.manage) and Google Search Console (webmasters). We use that access for one purpose: to show and manage your own business listing, reviews, and search performance inside your Craftwire dashboard.

Review text may be processed by our AI provider (OpenRouter) to generate summaries and drafts for you. That processing is not used to train general-purpose AI models.

We do not sell data received from Google APIs, do not use it for advertising, and do not let humans read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law.

You can disconnect anytime from your dashboard or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On disconnect we revoke Craftwire's access at Google and delete your stored Google credentials immediately. Information already imported into your dashboard (reviews, business info) stays part of your account — export it anytime, ask us to remove it, or it is deleted with your account.

Craftwire's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Credentials for connected accounts — like your Google sign-in tokens — are encrypted at rest and stored only so your integrations keep working without repeatedly signing you in. All traffic to and from Craftwire travels over HTTPS.

The basics only: cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics beacons, no fingerprinting.

We keep your data while your account is open. You can export your content, leads, and review data anytime from your dashboard.

Delete your account and we remove your data from our systems within 30 days, except the records we are required to keep for billing and tax purposes.

Depending on where you live — the GDPR in Europe, the CCPA in California, and similar laws elsewhere — you can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or limit certain processing.

Craftwire is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
